And Why do this family come from an area that doesn’t even know how a vineyard looks???  The best word that can describe our new website is DEFIANCE, not to sound evil or anything, but to get the message across to all who read this as to how normal people whom think they can change the world actually changes the view of how the normal average guy can actually achieve through will, determination and hard work.  The brand of Van Wykshof is one of those stories you just want to stop and think and ask yourself… Can’t I do the same? Or does this wine brand bring new hope for the Garden Route? If you actually think about it, this area has never even seen a commercial vine ever planted in this small town and now one family believes they can DEFINE all odds by actually doing so.

The brand is spearheaded by the great family values that had been implanted in the Van Wyk’s veins for centuries.  Van Wykshof Wines  is a brand of family wines who was launched in the town of George, the same year that this very town celebrated its bi-centenary festival….Two-hundred years is a very long time and actually more so for being the first family to get their label registered in South Africa.  It took a lot of hard work, research, self-belief and tenacity only to get a label on a bottle to say the least; now we’re on the World Wide Web, a place where social media dominates and where information spreads within a blink of an eye.  The future of this brand is unpredictable to say the least, but when you think how many obstacles has been overcome…you know that this brand will give its best to ensure the best fruit of the vine gets into that bottle and that each vintage is value for every penny spent.

The “word defiance” is a perfect way to describe this family-driven brand and the perfect welcome to the web.
