Welcome
Welcome to Van Wykshof Wines “ A proud family dedicated to honour their Coat of Arms through hard-work, self-believe, family values and community upliftment in the beautiful Garden Route through nature’s fruit from the vine”.
The Van Wyk family is the first family in the 200-year history of George to establish their own branded label, truly an accomplishment testament through realising their dreams of establishing their own branded bottle of wine from the fruit of the earth. Rodney and Pamela van Wyk through their love of agriculture have built a strong-believe in their family of overcoming all obstacles that is faced in a challenging industry not synonymous with the Garden Route. The Van Wykshof brand was established in 2010, honouring the Outeniqua mountain range with the Van Wyk-family Coat of Arms.
Their son Sherwin van Wyk has obtained his degree in Viticulture and Oenology (winemaking) at the University of Stellenbosch, becoming the first member of the family to work at world-renowned cellars . “It has been a quite humbling experience to work at these cellars, not only to improve my winemaking skills, but assisting me in becoming the best at what I do…” Sherwin said. The youngest of all the brothers Rudger is currently obtaining his degree at the University of Stellenbosch, carrying the Van Wyk-family’s love for agriculture in a new generation of winemakers.
The oldest son of the Van Wyk-family, Harlan has completed three degrees at Stellenbosch and the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Dietician keeping the family in shape at all times.
